My Socratea putting on a burst

Planted out my Socratea exorrhiza about 16 months ago and they were a bit slow to take off. But lately they've been rocketing along, one in particular. It's about shoulder height now and looking really healthy with good solid stilt roots. The other is a little behind. Might just be their placement. They're a very nice looking palm.

Wow, that is a really cool palm! I love the stilt roots especially since they start right below the crownshaft and the fronds are really lush looking. The leaflets are a lot like foxtail palms except wider!
It looks really healthy. Glad to hear it's taking off!

Thanks Alex. Interesting the way the trunk keeps well above the ground standing on its roots.They're an emergent rainforest tree so the trunk gets very tall.
