Thanx! A little terrified the whole operation, but it should be done. I have to be very careful not to damage the roots. I thought that I will give the plant to settle down a little bit, before I begin separation. First, I have to go and buy more big pots and soil. Wish me luck! Any tips help too!

Use a sharp, sterile knife. Remove plant from pot. Cut down through soil trying not to PULL. Replant separately into a well draining soil. Keep them in shaded conditions for about a week. Best done during a cloudy, moist period of weather.

Not saying to be heavy handed, but if any palm can handle root disturbance, it's a washie. I've had them that I dig out every year. I would just take it out of the pot, wash all the soil off the roots, then detangle and separate.
