Do my palm trees look right?

I have 10 of these palm trees in my backyard, not sure what type. They have long finger-like spears growing out of them, a few of which have fallen off. Is this normal, or are these supposed to be new fronds that aren't opening up? Perhaps a nutrient deficiency? I see some other palms around Houston with the same sort of thing.

Those are washingtonia palms and they look very healthy to me. The little finger like thing you see are inflorescences, thats where the flowers and seeds grow.
Good luck! Washingtonia palms do not really need a lot of nutrients, they are very hardy palms.
