It looks great to me! A little damage to the lower fronds, probably from the wind, but it will grow out of it with no problems! Thanks for sharing!

Something like rootone mixed into the water will not hurt, but I wouldn't fertilize right now with the palm under stress.

Any rotted mulch (good portions) will surely help the root system.

Not from my experience. I prune damaged fonds from my Trachys and they just grow more. Hack away.

Your yard looks like it was designed for the trachy. Did you move something to make space for it?

hey chad and thanx to everyone for advice!that there spot chad was 6 foot washingtonia stump,die last summer r.i.p. expensive lesson learned.i created that garden design around the little trachy,and i remove the washingtonia stump which was the biggest pain ever! and that trachy just came at the right space at the right time. if your looking for some huge 10 foot pindos or sabals,trachys,etc. my friend's website is www.paradisepalmsnc.com

I think trimming was a good idea and you might be surprised
if you go one step further and trim all the brown tips off
at just how nice it will look.
Also,don't trim anything live right before winter.

can get is,use it all summer-anything for root
stimulation is great now.
I would wait at least a few months to fertilize as this can burn the roots.

That will look sharp in a few more months!
