Congrats on keeping a windmill palm alive for so long and welcome to the fourm! Sabal minors and needle palms as hardy or even more hardy than Trachys so they are great palms to give a try as well. I have had luck with growing a Chinese fan palm in the ground for the past 3 winters. It get's frond damage every spring but looks good by fall. Here it was last fall buried in the jungle...

And here it was after hurricane Sandy cleared all that out for me...

Definitely a palm worth giving a try with protection since it is so cheap and tropical looking! I think they do much better planted in the ground and overwintered outdoors here than they do as indoor plants since I have them as both.

Butia capitata is another nice one to try. I've had those palms for years, unfortunately mine died this past winter. Not sure why it did so badly since the winter before it didnt have a scratch on it, (and my livistonia had less protection but still survived despite being considered a zone 9 palm) but overall Butias are great palms to try. I know of a large one in my neighborhood that gets protection every year. It's over 10 feet tall!
