I have all three. The Laccospadix is very slow. Mine was just a liner size when planted, so nothing exciting to look at, even after 3 years. The new leaf shows some red color when it first opens. The Lytocaryum is a sweetie, so finely cut and shiny green. Very easy. It has been kept in a pot in mostly shade, looks fine. The D. leptocheilos is the newest, planted a year ago from a 5-gal pot. Tends to frizzle in the sun here, so I have it up against the east side of a fence and it gets some cover from another plant just south of it. I love the coloration of the white trunk, dark rings, and rusty-red fuzz at the neck; looking forward to the day it trunks. It has a HUGE heel.

Pictures -- well I should, but I only have the D. leptocheilos before it went in the ground. Good reminder for me to get out and take some photos. I usually wait until August when things are really cooking... Adding a couple of general pics from last August...

Thats the hawaian ti plant. They sell them alot at home depot, lowes, and ebay, but I never saw one with that intense color. Really good job.

Very nice indeed. I agree those red ti plants really stand out. The ty plants you typically get (around here anyway)are the pink variety. I have never seen those nice red ti plants. Great job and nice selection.
