Queen palm question

I'm sure it's been covered many times, but since I now have one, curious as to the growth rate and preferred siting for these guys. Mine is in full sun, buried in its pot for easy transfer inside come Fall. Hasn't seemed to have done much, even in this recent heat wave, since I got it about 2 months ago.

Should have grown some by now. What about pot size and feeding? Do you see a new spear or nothing? Leaves are massive so once they do emerge they may take a couple weeks for the leaf to completely unfold.
