| i have a Madagascar Palm tree in my greenhouse that has reached about 15 feet tall and is pushing agaist the roof. Is this plant like most palms in that I cannot cut the top of the tree off without killing the plant?
Thanks very much. |

| What do you mean by a 'Madagascar Palm'? Do you mean Pachypodium? That is not a palm tree, it's a succulent. If that is what you have, then you can cut off the top with a sterile knife without killing the plant. You could probably also root the top you have cut off? If you have some actual palm tree from Madagascar, you cannot cut the top off--no way. |
