St.Louis hardy palms?

I had seen a video online of a guy in Montreal Canada who had been growing palms and protects them in giant tents over winter but the one papm he didn't get covered in time was a queen palm it spent a week of nights at around -5 degrees Fahrenheit I was wondering that of I have a little protection on a queen palm will it survive he normally get 2-3 days of snow and melts by mid afternoon and lowes I've ever seen was -3 I love in st.louis zone 6b/7a any other hardy palms hardy for the area?

    A Queen palm definitely will not survive -5 Degrees F.. Aside from building a greenhouse around it, your best bet is to containerize it and put it someplace cool but frost free over the winter. (I mine in 19 gallon, plastic tubs.) I overwinter mine between about 55 and 35 degrees F.. If you want to grow a palm w.o. protection in your area, your best bet would be to go with either Neede Palms or Sabal minor or S. Louisiana. Trachys might work, but would need protection.
