Queen palms damage thanks to strong winds. pics inside)

Not sure if I should try to sit them straight or just cut them off. I read that cutting them off is bad but what can I do at this point. See below.

I had the same damage to mine a year ago because of high winds. I cut it off because trying to prop it up really does nothing for the plant. New leaves will grow because it looks like the growing point was not damaged. Queen palms seem to have a problem with wind, but they seem to get stronger when they are older.

I have almost lost a 6 ft. Bismarkia and used to regularly receive terrible damage to my Trachy's due to the wind. I agree damage in mid trunk/stem is almost unfixable...
