I've always wanted to visit there, but have never been able to time my visits with their open houses. There are some wild looking plants there. Rock garden looking good. Are all of those plants you bought more or less hardy?

All of the plants I bought are hardy. The silver surfer at PDN bloomed last year. The neomexicana is an parryi ssp. and the victoria is zone 7b. I have seen it growing at NC zoo also. I will protect them the first few years just like palms till they harden off.

Great pics! Great seeing flowering agaves and huge sabal minors and needle palms in inland NC! Looks like they have a great variety of plants there.

Thanks guys, Jim they do have a true takil on the property of a pretty good size. It doesn't have all the hair coming out of the crown like regulars ones do. I couldn't get good photos cause all of there palms are growing in deep shade.

Alex the size of there plants is amazing. Considering they are all outside in zone 7.

Not sure, how I missed that needle in the past. Its in the front close to the road where I don't usually look.

Randy, that is an A. ovitafolia. It should get a little bigger. They grow to about 5' wide.

So much for the belief that needles only get to 6 feet. That's gotta be worth a lot of money for a needle TREE that huge.

And that needle is growing in full shade! Only fragmented light gets through. Seeing their 20' windmills growing like that last year is what made me start planting palms in the shade.
