Very nice! I like your foxtail palm alot, and that sabal palm is Huge for only 65 dollars. And that mule palm looks amazing and extremely tropical considering the temeratures that it can tollerate.

Sorry about your citrus, im not really sure what happened their, but all your other plants show that you must take very good care of them.

Also do you keep your royal palm in the ground during the winter too? It would have been really interesting to see one survive in a zone 8 area.
    Good luck.

Yes the Royal has been in the ground here since February 2008. It would have progressed much farther by now, but the enclosure I had built for it collapsed due to high winds, when temps were in the mid 20s. Almost all the foliage on it and on several of the other palms was burned off. And the Royal almost died when it was in my garage for a few months. They all came back nicely, though.

Wow. Royals are one of my favorate palms so to see it survive in a zone 8 is very cool.

Good luck with your palms. Im still hoping for a mild winter for mine.

You did a very nice job on the landscaping. Does your philodendron stay in ground all year? Ever have any cold damage? Which is your fastest growing banana?

    Hello Everyone,

    Joey,

What a beautiful display of gorgeous pictures. I just really enjoyed the show of all of the great pics.

As i was looking, i was thinking i love this one, then the next pic...and then the next!!! They are fabulous!

My favorite is the royal and especially the CIDP. I would love to have one of those. What do you do for protection during the winter for them? How long had the CIDP been in the ground?

Love the layout of your backyard and what you have done to the front beds as well!

Great Job...the pool looks very inviting too!

Thanks for all of the wonderful pictures and again, Great job!!!

    Take care,

    Laura in VB

Thanks for bringing this thread up again. I always like seeing your yard pics. Lots of nice plants! I'd love to see an update on that royal palm. You might be the only person in all of Alabama with a royal palm in the ground year long!

Seems all the links of your pics are dead now. Any chance of updated ones so that I can actually see them?
