Butia capitata tree/seeds

Hi all!

Yesterday we spoted a Butia capitata (jelly palm) on the side of the road that was loaded with it's yellow fruit. I LOVE the look of this palm and was wanting to know how I can start my own tree from seedling. I got a small handfull of the fruit, but plan on going back tomorrow and getting some more. Do I just cut the fruit away from the little black nut that is on the side and place in some good potting soil until it sprouts? Any help/guidance is appreciated.
