Congrats. 12 days??!!! I wish mine were that fast. My foxtail seeds took 4 or 5 months to sprout!

kaotickelly that's nice. I know how you feel. I sowed some w. filifera seeds amongst others about 3 weeks ago. Two have sprouted and have a tap root along with the beginning of a white "stem". I am sure they would have sprouted in a week to 10 days but I suspect the seeds were about a year old is not more. Keep up posted on their progress.

Great to hear that you had some seeds germinate for you! Its a great feeling and its every better when you see your plants 3 years from now and see how much they grew (from nothing to something!).

Patience, Hunter. Patience. I think you need to get your hands on some Washingtonia and Sabal Palmetto seeds. Both types sprout very easy. You took on a type of seed that is very challenging (Fox tail) and did a great job. But I think you'd get a lot of personal satisfaction with some of the easier-to-sprout seed types. Both Washys and S. Palmetto produce a ton of seeds and are quite abundant. I'm sure some of our readers on here can help you out. I think Laura said she can get you some Sabal seeds.
