I have 3 wash robusta seedlings with only 1 frond at moment. After they sprouted they took off. I would bottom water regularly until i noticed the medium seemed to stay too dry. My concern now is that the tips are yellow, not a lot just about half an inch.

Is this normal coloring for new palms or am i possibly watering too much or have the light too close?

They are in a sand/peat mixture under fluorescent shop lights with 2 daylight bulbs. I have the lights about an inch above them, running about 14 hrs a day. I have a fan on as well. They are in a basement that stays around 65-70 degrees.
