dying windmill

Hey all,
As some of you may know I have 2 windmills by my pool I have posted in the past. I planted them 6 years ago, and they have cruised through every winter until the last horrible one we had. I covered them some, but by spring they had serious damage. I trimmed them back, and they both had new growth and flowered this season, like usual. While one continues to flourish, the new growth on the other began to turn brown again. Now it's pretty much all brown. I checked for spear pull, but it hasn't occurred YET. The new fronds just out of the crown are mushy, so it's on the way. All I know to do for now is try and keep the crown dry, and pour some peroxide in it as well. This has save a few smaller palms in the past. I have added a few pics, but I just got a Mac and not familiar yet, so I have no idea if they will work.
Thanks
