Jimhardy, when I read what you posted, I thought, this has GOT to be a mistake--by your local weather people. Then, I went to the National Weather Forecast and saw some pretty amazing data from Iowa. It's incredible! Have you been in the grips of a severe drought?! We never see humidity this low--even after an arctic outbreak, and your temps are fairly mild! Everything is sooo saturated here (what with over 60 inches of rain so far for the year), that even after the passage of cold fronts, it stays fairly humid and then humidity builds right in again. Just go on to expect the unexpected and bizarre in weather I guess.

I dont think the humidity will ever get that low in my house, let alone outside. Way too much water here to bring humidity precentages in the single digits!!

I guess your cacti was loving the low humdity, but the tropical plants probably needed some watering!

The lowest humidity here for the WHOLE month of September was 39%. I dont think have never seen the humidity lower than 30% this entire summer.
