Thats Awsome !, My washy finished opening a new frond and well thats when it was time to cover it up. Its calling for under 32 tonight. Looks like winder is going to show up a little early this year.

it is wetsuiter. the reason i done it early was because our temps were looking really low. This morning was down to 28 F. so as an extra percaucious i decided to wrap it up. As it starts to warm up a little the plastic is very easy to take off i would just keep the circular framing in place.

Just make a lid that you can take off.

Do you have a temp sensor in there?

It could get up to 120F easy on a sunny day.

Yes i have a Lid, No temp sensor. i do keep a thermostat outside to keep an eye on temps. No heat inside.

Today i'll be going by lowes and buy some christmas lights so i can stick in there on days were it gets really cold. Before i head out to work every morning i always look at the weather and see how warm or how the skies are looking and i determine if i should take the lid off or keep it on. Yes it does get pretty warm in there in full sun thats why i designed the structure with a lid on it.

28! My God, I've not even seen 38 yet! I usually don't see 28 until later in December. Are you in high terrain? Even at 28,those palms should handle it well and could harden them off. Unless you had really warm temps the day or two before. But, better safe than sorry, right?

We are on low terrain, the weather man just said it because of hurricane sandy but the next couple of days our low's will be in the 40's. Yes you are very right I rather be safe then sorry. This is my first time handling with palms and so im just being safe.
