My needle palm is starting to produce those vicious, brutal, backstabbing, homicidal spines that these palms are famous for. I was cleaning my palm and I found something in between the newest leaf and the second newest leaf. I used tweezers to clean up in there, but then(like an idiot), I stuck my finger in there, and the palm told me what for. lol
So, I feel like now's the time to start handling this palm carefully. Of course when the entire trunk becomes nothing but needles, I will start using garden gloves. I'm not sure if it's the palmate fronds or if the suckers start forming at the base. What comes next? Thanks in advanced.
