NO!!!! I guess tomorrow I'll start thinking abour protection as we may get some accumulating snow on Tuesday with a forecast of 35/25! Too early for this, our average high should be 55. I always said I wouldn't mind winter if we never dipped below our average highs and lows, our lowest average is 36/21.

So, now they are down playing it all. I see a couple of cold days in the mid/upper 40's, then moderating. I'll play it by ear. My Washingtonias, Canary Dates, Butias, cycads and more tender Sabals are still out. Super extended forecast looks milder than now though. Drought building too in the local area.

Even if it snows here temps will not be that low. I do plan on wrapping up all my palms tomorrow. Specially my canary since this will be its first winter in the ground. About a 100 cacti will need to be covered but nothing major.

I take it as a personal affront when I wake up and see snow and ice on my palms here in Z8 southern coastal NC. The earliest snowfall on record happened last night, and seeing crowns full of ice and snow this morning feels like a kick in the gut.
