Cat Palm up for adoption, LA/OC

Hello!

So, I adopted this cat palm myself, when it was put by the recycle bins in my building. I didn't know a thing about it but I thought what the hey.

I haven't done much better with it, as I do not water it enough to keep it happy. Also it lives on a hot balcony.

I won't lie -- it needs repotting and it's got a fair amount of brown leaves. (Want me to cut them off?) I am just now learning about container soils (in fact, I just lost a couple houseplants this year...), and it would be a while before I got to this one anyway. It is 2 to 3 feet high, in a black plastic nursery pot (probably 10 incher).

I am hoping to find it a good home. But if no one here answers, don't worry -- I will try Freecycle next. (But those aren't necessarily plant people.)

So, as you probably know, these like water and shade.

Any takers? I drive around certain areas of the city, and sometimes north Orange County, and who knows, maybe I could drop it off at an intersection or cafe near your home, on a pre-arranged day, and we can take our chances.
