| Visited a nice cycad garden recently (have visited several dozen times before)- only gets better every time. |

| Eric You can buy a small one .75" caudex for $750 And for only $1750 you won't have to mess with the tiny
.75" one because these whoppers are 1.75" Here is some quick but bad math-10" caudex-as pictured
$17,500..they don't say anything about the height of the caudex
but if that is factored in,well-you don't want to know. I wonder if you offered $10,000 for it if they would say- no thanks

| Definitely not interested in buying, just curious what they go for. 17,000 could be better spent elsewhere in my opinion lol. Besides i would be afraid of people digging it up and stealing it out of my yard. |

| I love the look of the large trunked cycads but I just don't have the climate or the patience for it. They remind me alot of taz. tree ferns..which I still don't have either..sigh.. nice pics where is this place? |

| Very nice photos. Love all those cycads. I may even try another in ground next spring. But you better believe I ain't paying over 20$ for it. |

| I got a deal on this one....only $180-LOL 
It has grown 7 leaves in 2 years-could be considered an
investment as I am sure it will sell for big $$$ in a few more years-if needed but I will be to attached by then(-: Eric What could be better to spend 17,500 on?(-; O.k. you could make your own greenhouse and fill
it for that amount but you would not have that Cycad-LOL |

| Pitt is big time. Flea had a Aloe,Pachypodium and cycads garden in a home that looked like a Castle. I think they recorded one album with Dave Navaro there...then Flea sold it. |

| Not far from me there's a specialist cycad nursery. They sell all over the world. Huge cycads are sent off in shipping containers. I couldn't imaging paying tens of thousands for a single plant. A lot go to places like the Gulf States where money is no object. I've bought plants over $100 but it took a lot of soul (and wallet) searching, and a determined "don't think about it, just do it!" I might have champagne tastes in plants, but I'm restricted by a beer income. |

| My guess- and all it is- is that Pitt's travels to dry,hot Africa with his wife Angelina,piqued his interest in Cycads. I hear he has one of the best collections in the country. |
