They look a bit fried.
Did you put them in direct sunlight? They were most likely grown in shady conditions and couldn't handle the sun intensity. If thats the case then slowly acclimate them to the sun.

they have been on the porch for about a month behind a tinted screen. ive just recently moved them outside

huh, well in that case try planting them in ground and add some slow release fertilizer.

that is a typical situation for Archontophoenix... if grown in a humid climate, particularly if grown in partial or full shade, they get stretched out like that... then when they suddenly end up here in California, they go into shock... see this at Home Depot all the time for Archontophoenix grown back east. Often their decline is irreversible, but most of the time you can just keep them in a shaded area for a few years and then slowly move them into more sunlight. I personally only get Archontophoenix grown locally and then avoid this problem altogether.

all 3 of them seem to have continued to decline.
All the fronds are starting to yellow, ive moved them to shade and they seem to be getting worse.
im hoping the can turn around but its not looking good.
