Saw Palmetto at Ponce Inlet, Florida.

| A few photos from the trails at the Marine Science Center at Ponce Inlet, Florida. Lots of mature Saw Palmetto (seronoa repens) with sprawling, snake-like trunks under the Live Oak canopy. The lighthouse is visible from the observation tower in one of the photos. |

Beautiful pics! Saw palmettos are really cool palms! I cant wait until my silver saw gets a little bit bigger, they make really nice looking clumps! Thanks for sharing! -Alex |

| Sabal Louisiana is also known to trunk along the ground like a snake. Probably adds to their hardiness, by keeping the growing bud down low. |
