Here is the 6 month update, and it looks much more promising. I clipped off the yellow fronds and it now has 7 strong fronds. I still would like to know if this is a true hybrid or is it just a Robusta. How can you tell?

You tell me! I have maybe a half dozen in large tubs and two trials in the ground. Used to think mine were more robusta but back when I posted pics, people thought they were filifera or filibusta. I have read that since they hybridize readily, most of what is commonly available is filibusta anyway. Yours definitely is more than just robusta in my opinion based on the length of the fibers--and in such a young plant. Most of mine started out looking like yours.

Most Washingtonia are hybrids, especially if sold commercially. Very hard to find pure robusta or pure filifera from what I have read.
