2 fronds forever?

I picked a seed from a Sago Palm in Sugarland, TX about four years ago and stuck it into a pot of Rosemary my wife had inside for the winter. When she replanted the Rosemary in the spring this seed had sprouted so I potted it up. It is in Miracle-Gro orchid potting mix, not coarse, and has a large white root coming out of the bottom of the pot. It sits in a south window and gets watered once a week or so. Two years ago some new fronds started to sprout but they all died when only half an inch long.

Is it likely to grow more fronds?

The tillandsias just sit in the pot to keep it from looking so bare.
