Germinating Passiflora 'Temptation' x 'Temptation' seeds

I have been trying to germinate some Passiflora "Temptation" x "Temptation" seeds since the end of December. They have been sown for approximately 30 days now, yet none have yet germinated. Prior to sowing them, I scarified the seed coats and soaked them in warm water for 48 hours. I have been careful to keep them moist (not wet) and in good, indirect light outside (not in direct sunlight). I live in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, well within the tropical zone, so I do not think that lack of warmth is the problem. What is the average number of days for germination of Passiflora seeds of this type? Should I give up on them?

There's no need to scarify a passie seed coat. They are permeable to air and water. I presoak dry seeds for 24-48 hrs in a mild acidic solution such as orange juice and plant them about 1/2" under the soil. They can have very eratic germination times, especially dry seeds. I've had some that have taken almost a year to sprout while others are up in a week. I have so many pots with volunteer passiflora plants because I figured the seeds were duds and recycled the soil. I'd just wait and see what happens. If you have any more seeds you might want to start those and not scarify the seed coat.

I've had pretty good luck with sprouting these T X T seeds.. I do give them a soak for one day only...in 1 gal water w/ i cup of bleach and 1/4 cup of hydrogen peroxide.. this is my third year with them.. and they grow ..flower.. and fruit like no other.. sprouting is slow though.. for some a month is not uncommon..
I've heard temps should be kept between 75 and 85 *F..
good luck with them.. off to put seeds on e-bay..

WARNING THE ABOVE FORMULA IS WRONG>> I CROSSED THE HYDROGEN PEROXIDE AMOUNTS AND THE BLEACH AMOUNTS
the formula should read :
i gal of water... to it add 1 cup of Hydrogen peroxide & stir
add 1/4 cu of bleach and stir...
soak plants for a day then remove and plant..
