It looks like a gossypiiflora .They have leafs like that.Let us know when it flowers what ya got if its a foetida it will bloom fast they bloom 3 months from seed love them.When they young the leafs look like that one as older they look like this pic .

hey angie.thank you very much i hope you rite...it is a very unique looking passi...im very excited to see what blooms...its a shame i got it at tropical world in boynton beach,fl...they going outta business so the guy doesnt even water his plants anymore...gotit for 5 bucks...had to try untagle it though from everything round it...hopefully when summer comes around it will bloom.will let you know

Are your leaves fuzzy? That's a defining characteristic of foetidas. I don't think what you have is a gossypiifolia. Just glancing through my books, the closest leaf match I can fine is luetzelburgii, a red flower that looks a little like racemosa. They aren't that common in the nursery trade though, so I'd be surprised if that's actually what you have.

NOPE THE LEAVES ARENT FUZZY NOT YET AT LEAST KEEPING A CLOSE EYE ON IT...I HAVENT SEEN ANY KINDDA LEAF LIKE THIS BEFORE SO VERY EXCITED FOR THE FIRST BLOOM

Its really hard to tell sometime my passies look very different when they get first leafs but if its not fuzzy its not a foetida but if ya want some foetida seeds just email me your address ill get ya some out .I do hope its a luetzelburgii you are very lucky if it is but anyway around it you will have a nice plant.
