New species

Nathan Muchhala, a biologist atthe University of Toronto, has found this new species in the cloud forests of Ecuador:

It is bizarre in that it has five sepals, but only ONE petal!

Yeppers, that's one bizarre passi all right. So it's bat pollenated, huh? Interesting. Thanks for the post!
