How can I tell a Passiflora vitifolia vine apart from a Passiflora coccinea vine?
I have no idea. To me the flower and foliage look the same.Karyn
According to Ulmer & MacDougal, coccinea has "unlobed double-serrate leaves and large bracts, distinguishing it from other species of supersection Coccinea, especially p. vitifolia."
Hope that helps.
Vitafolia leaves look like, well, grape leaves (LOL---that's *why* it's called 'vitafolia'!) Coccinea leaves are, as jblaschke says, un-lobed and serrated.
