I need some help with my three passion flower vines, planted in July 2007. The three vines have climbed and grown like crazy, until the last two months. They are planted in front of a partial shade, south facing porch. The past two months the leaves at the base of the plant, up to about 3 feet, have yellowed and fallen off. Some of the climbers that have grown along the top of the porch have remained green but withered. I am a new gardener, and new to vines. Is this "normal" for Passiflora vines this time of year in the Portland, Oregon area? On some of the yellowed leaves, there are little holes.

If there is something I need to do, I want to act now before losing them! Can anyone help me? I have photos of the problem, but don't think I can post pictures on this forum.
