| Holy moley! We had a mild winter this year--even by south Texas standards (Gulf fritilary caterpillars were happily munching it well into February), and my incense didn't die back much at all. Consequently, it's had a jump start on growth this year. There are no caterpillars to be seen yet, but I just noticed that it's setting dozens of flower buds:
Lots of vigorous growth on this guy, and at last count there are six suckers coming up in my yard. Hoping to pot them sometime over the weekend. But wow--nice, big incense blossoms by early May. Anyone else seeing buds yet? |
