I had the same situation where mine never reappeared. But they can be late risers so you have a chance.

We had unusual rain rather late. Everything is a little late and confused in S. GA. My maypops are just now popping up.

Maypops like it a little warm. I heard the weather up there is just now looking like spring. Just give it some time...

It's been warm here already and my maypops are up to 4ft tall in places. I don't think I have any less than a 2ft tall. They seem to be growing a couple inches everyday, They'll have my arbor covered by the end of May!

I think heat is the key, it's been in the upper 70's here fairly regularly and we hit the 80's this week. We might even hit the 90's by tomorrow or the next day. I don't think our high temp has been below 70 for over a month at least.

That's where "maypops" comes from, they pop up in May!
