Help with crimson passion vine

I just bought this vine today in hopes to put around my mailbox. After rethinking (I am afraid I will constantly be trimming), I then hoped to train it to go over my front door, but I only get sun in the am. Will it still bloom? Any suggestions on where to plant? Thanks!

If its the crimson tear passiflora it only likes morning sun mine wilts in afternoon sun .I think its happy with about 4 hours in the morning.But I live in texas too and our morning sun could cook a egg.

Vitifolia is often sold as "Crimson passion flower." Morning sun will be fine, but if you plan on planting it in the ground, you probably need to reconsider. I don't believe it could survive your winters in Georgia. If you put it in a sizeable pot with good drainage, it should grow enough to train over the front door. Then you can trim it back by half during the winter to bring inside.

I keep my vitifolia in full sun all day and it does well. I have to water it frequently but it doesn't seem to suffer in the afternoon sun. I agree about having to take it in over the winter.
