Very nice! Congratulations! How is the plant's temperament? I haven't seriously thought about getting racemosa because I'm under the impression that it's somewhat difficult...

For me it was a little bit difficult, but that's just because of my ingnorance. I had to move it FOUR times before I finally found a spot that it liked in a 29 gallon pot. Just a couple of months ago I thought it was sure on its way to being a gonner, since I horribly overwatered it and then would let it dry out too much; did not give it the right, light soil (its in heavy regular loam right now); and since I poisoned it with potassium. Those were just really big mistakes on my part, but it still flowered.
I'm sure that more experienced growers like you would'nt have a problem.

Bwa-ha-ha! Abdielg, you have no idea how many passis I've killed via that process you just described! Each passi species is different--I've had incredible success with some, and relentless frustration with others. I always feel like an amateur with these plants...

Well, at least we're always learning...

A beautiful plant and great pictures
'Buzios' has much longer corona filaments. It looks very much like 'Carioca' with the distinctive round lobed leaves and I suggest the difference in the filament colour suggests it is from 'Carioca' seed rather than a cutting though it could just be a cutting of a different clone. Note the waxy leaves - that tells us it is from somewhere hot and dry - it does best in a nice loam with plenty of extra sand mixed through to improve drainage and water sparingly.
