Best passion fruit

Hello, there:

I went to a local nursery and saw a plant so lovely called "Passion Vine". Of course, I bought it and planted it in my back yard.

Then, one of my co-workers told me that the passion fruit is very good as well. I started to search for the passion fruit in case the one I planted does not give me good fruits. Since there are so many kinds, would you please tell me what kind passion plant gives the best fruit?

That's like asking "Which SuperModel has the best .... Eyes?"

Frederic is my personal favorite, but 'black grenadilla' & flavicarpa are pretty good too.

most of the world agrees: p. edulis and its many cultivars. You'll need to grow it in a pot and overwinter inside, though.

Don't know what varietie(s) they use, but supposedly "hawaiian punch" is flavored w/ passion fruit, and Welches makes a passion fruit flavored beverage- it's rather good.

Both use edulis almost, if not entirely, exclusively. Hawaiaan punch has always been a favorite.
