| How do you people eat your passion fruit? I just break it open, then use a spoon to help the seeds and juice together down my throat. But I wonder if the seeds may be bad for me or maybe they are good for the body?
Or do you people strain away the seeds and just drink the juice? All I've had so far are p. edulis flavicarpa bought from the stores. They are very sweet, not even a slight hint of sourness. I have not tasted the purple fruited p. edulis before, how do they compare? |

| I like mine blended, and then strained of the seed bits, a splash of OJ and Pineapple juice, a tablespoon of sugar, and liberal amounts of rum...a passionfruit daiquiri. I have also found a nice recipe for pancakes, which are delicious...other than that , not much. And they are worth the trouble. BTW, the purple is sweeter! |

| "How do you like your passionfruit?" Very passionate - thank you (lol)! No really, I just whir in the blender to loosen up seeds strain and add that starfruit/pineapple by Hawaii's own (frozen-concentrate) and then 1 cup of H2o and a few hands full of ice and blend. Makes an awesome frozen drink. You can also add a bit of liquor if you desire. I don't care too much for rum except for parrot bay coconut type. I usually just throw in cuervo gold, which I usually have on hand (margaritas are my DOC). ~SG~ |

| Hey, W. Islander, if they're sweet, why are you still adding sugar? The yellow edulis I have here are already so sweet anymore sugar will surely overdo it. Joanmary, thanks for the recipe links. |
