Tupically red is the racemosa but there are so many varieties like you mentioned that it will be hard unless you see a picture. It could also be a hybrid which makes it even harder. lets see, does it look like this?? Is it this shade of red or daRKER?

What happened to my other post. Okay, lets try this again. it could also be a vitifolia. look at the shapes of the leaves to figure it out and compare the filiments of the flower

Don't fertilize or water it so much. I rarely feed my passies and they like to stay on the dry side. I do dig a small amount of chopped up banana peels into the soil every 4-6 weeks. Passion flowers like the extra potassium. Mine are container grown so you could dig in a bit more in the soil surrounding your plant.

Thanks so much chrismac_flutter. By looking at the two pictures, mine looks much more like the P. Vitifolia, by the shape of the leaves. I'll try to take a picture of it tomorrow and post it. Maybe that will help make it certain.

And Karyn, thank you for your great advice. I'll do as you say and see what happens. I happen to have a couple of bananas that are getting too ripe. I'll just cut up the peels and do as you advised.

Looks big, Maybe add some bloom booster to get some flowers. I say you are on the right track with the vitifolia

I'd also say vitifolia. The foliage looks like mine.

Thanks so much! From the one flower I saw on it, it does resemble the one above. And it is very big. It's crawled it's way up the fence and into a nearby tree.
