Well, regardless of whether the two flowers that this insect have been nectaring on all afternoon long fruit or not, I found a fruit on another part of the vine. It's pretty big, so I'm surprised I haven't seen it before now. Unlike p. incarnata fruit, which is smooth, this one is fuzzy and shaped a little bit differently.
If it ripens any seeds, I'll plant them.

Every source and expert I've spoken to about this has Incense pollen as sterile. That makes Incense an anomaly among hybrids, as it produces tons of the stuff. Fruit will set on Incense flowers pollenated by incarnata and caerulea. But even were Incense pollen not sterile, you couldn't get an Incense x Incense cross since all Incense plants are clones from the same original source.

So that means that unless this bee visited an Incarnata flower or two - these flowers won't make fruit.
Well, then the fuzzy fruit must have been pollinated by the nearby Incarnata.
I'd like to get some fruit on my Lady Margaret vines - they're blooming constantly now, and they're on the same fence as the Incarnata and Incense.

I've successfully set fruit on my Lady Margaret by hand-pollinating with incarnata pollen. So good luck!
