Help..I have a question

I have a passaflora f. or anyway thats how the seeds were labled!

I thought it was an edible passionfruit, but it is different that my others? I have NEVER had one with fruit before?

It has a softer leaf, light green in color, instead of the large waxy green leaf, it blooms small white flowers, and puts on fruit about the size of a large grape, it starts out green then turns yellow. When you open it it has seeds covered in pulp??

Is it edible? How is it used? Can anyone tell me what I have and all about it!

Sounds like it might be P. foetida which is edible. My foetida fruits will usually go from green to yellow to bright orange/red. The pulp covering the seeds are called the arils and that's the edible part. You suck the juice from the arils. Foetida fruit is so small that you really can't use it for juice but it is tasty. If you could post a pic of your plant, foliage, flowers and fruit for a positive ID before you taste it that would be a good idea as not all passion fruits are edible or palatable.
