| I fell in love with the red passion flower with purple center in Mendocino, CA.
Can I grow it successfully here in DC? I know folks are successfully in growing the more common lavender one in our community urban garden. What about this guy, whose name I'd like to know. And where can I find one ya think? I've got a picture of it, but not sure how to drop it in in my post. Thanks. Who knew there was a whole forum devoted to passiflora? wow the power of the internet. .

| You can grow them pretty much anywhere, *if* you have room to bring it inside in the winter- Most cannot survive snow. I had 5 or 6 when I lived in upstate NY (Watertown, Ft Drum area~> I was a FAC before my career as a wheelchair tester) They spent summers outside & winters inside in various windows. They exploded in the summer so I had to slice & dice in the fall to make them fit in the house- but they all survived a 4 year tour. |
