Hello there, I live in zone 7, of central NC. I have this very large passion vine ( Lady Margret) it has been setting out dozens of fruit. I was wondering are the fruits edible?, If they are edible, What do they taste like? and how do I know when to collect the fruit?, and last how do I store the seeds of the vine. Also what other types of passiflora can grow in zone 7, NC. Thanx so much for your help :)...ummm sorry for the questions, but I had to ask!!!

Caerulea is hardy to about 10-15F. Incarnata is even hardier. Sorry I don't know about Margret's fruit

Well, it has been a little while since I tried P. Lady Margaret fruit, but I think it tasted a lot like incarnata fruit. It has a sweet and slightly tangy taste. Both of the parent plants have edible fruit. Just make sure the fruits are nice and ripe.

If you are just starting out and you are in zone 7, P. Caerulea, P. Incense, and P. Incarnata are good passion vines to start with.
