Fruit of 'White Wedding'

I was looking at my 'White Wedding' plant last week and was surprised to see that it had several 2-inch green (unripe) fruits. I opened one up to find that it is developing arils inside. Has anyone tried the ripe fruit of a ww? I was especially surprised to find the fruit since ww is my only tetraploid plant. Tx, any info appreciated.

It could possibly be selfing, or it may be pollinated by diploids, which would likely produce triploid seedlings. Let the other fruit drop when ripe and you should get some ripe seeds. My guess is the fruit would not taste good, but who knows? Try it and let us know. And take a photo of the fruit and the arils to share with us if you can.

My Inspiration fruited last year, but only produced a few mature seeds. None germinated for me. I assume my incarnata pollinated it, which would've produced a triploid seedling.
