I bought a passion flower vine a few months ago from the nursery. The tag claimed it was a passiflora caerulea (blue). I mixed some fertilizer into the potting mix when I potted the plant and I guess as a result, it has never bloomed. There was an abundance of leaves earlier but now all the leaves have started to wilt so I started pruning off the dead leaves. Now everything has wilted except for this new growth near the very base of the stem. I have pruned off everything except for that. Is my vine dying? How can I get it to grow & bloom? Please help me save my plant.

How much are you watering? Soggy roots is a killer of passis. Let the soil dry out between waterings.

I've been watering it every day but I live in Los Angeles so it's really hot. The soil always looks dry when I water it.
