My quinquangularis has been in bloom for a while- Looks like it's self fertile as well.

I've crossed some of the flowers with capsularis, but the cap stopped blooming.

Krstofer, Does this Passion Flower have Edible Fruit?
Thanks

RE: Quinquangularis

I don't know- But if they are, they're about the size of a blackberry, so you'd need a really big bush.

RE: Quinquangularis

OK Thanks
I like the shape of the Fruit...
I Only Have Room for Plant's that have Edible Fruits, I only have my Flat NO Garden, you see.....

RE: Quinquangularis

Yup.. That's how I started.. "Edible fruit ONLY!"

5 years later, 5 new houses.. (guess) 200 plants... And the yard is still too small.

LOL
Maybe I should stick with Edulis and Incarnata for now...

RE: Quinquangularis PS

Here's the capsularis:

And the quinquangularis:

As you can see, neither are very large, but both are of a flowering age.

I managed to cross quinquangularis with most of the other xerogona species and hybrids i have here. These are the following crosses i managed over the winter.

Most are now growing as seedlings, the cross with P. 'Becky Speed' is pictured, and showing signs of both parents, the leaves from BS and the stipules from quinquangularis

citrina x quinquangularis [both ways]
Becky Speed [cobanensis x citrina] x quinquangularis
Lucy Zara [conzattiana x citrina] x quinquanglaris [both ways]
sanguinolenta x quinquangularis
conzattiana x quinquangularis

I never managed to get capsularis crossed, despite many attempts.

My quinquangularis hybrids are growing well, the Sanguinolenta x Quinquangularis are in bud, so will upload a picture when it flowers, the tip of the bud is showing a bit of pink.
