What causes the leaf to curl?

Please see link to picture below.

This is a p. edulis grown from seeds. It is about 1.5 years now since it germinated and I really should be expecting flowers now.

Some of the new leaves are curling up. The plant is otherwise very healthy looking. I'm not seeing any insects or pests at all. This only affects the new leaves.

About 2 months ago, I had the same problem and I noticed nothing happened to the plant except that it just totally stopped growing because once the curled leaves appear, there were no more new leaves after that. The curled leaves remained small though, and green. The rest of the plant remain healthy. Just no more growth.

I then repotted the plant, same pot but changed to a new medium, burnt earth instead of compost and suddenly, there was a growth spurt, new shoots sprouted and everything looked good.

I'm over at the tropics, so weather is consistently hot through the year.

But now the problem is back. I have no clue what is causing this. Would appreciate your insights on this. Thanks.
