Well, what do you have? My philosophy is "if I have it, I'm gonna try it". So far, I've learned my alto-caerulea (AKA belotti) & incense are pretty much sterile- Neither their pollen or polinating them with anything else works. Nothing but a pretty face.. No fruit.
I've polinated my eduli with caerulea & amethyst- both have created fruit. Also 1 edulis is self fertile, but the other is not.. But I can get fruit on both by cross polinating them. So, if you have something else in bloom, try it. You'll know in a couple days if it worked.
Any 'passiflora' variety *should* work, unless it's sterile or genticly too "far away"- Such as the tacsonia (flowers that look like this) and decaloba (sunburst, capsularis, quinquangularis, etc) subspecies. At least that's what I've found, in my "nowhere near expert" expierience.
Thanks for the info Krstofer The last time I tried to get fruit and Failed I just used the Blue caerulea, Well they Swelled and then 4 days later they Dropped so... *Shrug* Do you think Constant Elliot would work? Mum has a HUGE one of those I could pinch Pollen from... LOL
Well, from the look of the Bud it will open in the next few days, I got some Pollen from Mum's Constance Elliot today... So I'll let you know when it opens and what Happens next
Well, I was Right on the Next few days as it opened today... I have Poillinated it with Constance Elliot. I'll let you now if it does anything Krstofer
