Passiflora COCCINEA - good butterfly host plant

Will the butterfly cats eat the leaves of this plant? Will the butterflies use all varieties of passiflora vines as a host plant? This one is quite pretty but my growing space is limited so need to plant only those passionflowers that the butterflies will use as a host plant.

I'm attempting to germinate some Maypop seeds, too, as they will be winter hardy for me but have read seed germination is hit and miss with passi's. Thought I might also purchase a vine and liked the bloom on this one.

The red passion vines are toxic to caterpillars. The purple, blue and white varieties are good caterpillar host plants.

Oh, thank you so much for this information. You saved me money and heartache. Red passion flower is now a no no for my garden.
