What Passion Flower is this? Weird...hybrid?

My first ever posting...I was in a DIY shop and was looking at the normal passiflora caerula..and amongst them was this 'weird one'

All the rest had the lobed leaves and this one has the caerula flowers with a hint of pink - sorry the photos here make it look more pink than normal.

It's covered im buds and the weird thing is that the leaves are HUGE thick stems it's pot bound none of them had fertiliser that I could tell and the rest were tiny.

The leaves on this monster is at least 12 inches..what is it? The flowers here also look bigger than they are, they are the size of a normal caerula.

Looks like P. x belottii, a hybrid of P. alata x P. caerulea.

From photos and write ups here it is. Seems it dates back to the 1800's but I have never come across it here in the UK.

Hope it proves hardy and I think I have the passiflora 'bug' now and will look out for more.

It's like a triffid looks like it might eat me if I am not careful!

I got a P. x belotii earlier this year and it's a monster! I haven't fertilized it at all and it's been blooming all season. The vine is well over 20' and has climbed up over my fence and into a dead tree in my neighbor's yard. The stems are thick, buds and leaves are large but mine aren't anywhere near 12". I'm going to leave it in the ground and hope it comes back but I will take cuttings. From what I've read it's supposed to be hardy to zone 7a which is where I am. It's a beautiful passie. I hope it continues to grow well for you.

I think there's a tetraploid version of belotii that is larger than the normal version. Tetraploids are popular with European breeders (indeed, many originate on the continent) so that may be what you have.
