Ligularis Flowering, Cross Pollenation

I went to Guatemala in 2007 where I tasted the granadilla for the first time. So delicious. I brought some seeds back with me and planted them and two vines grew together. It has been about three years and my ligularis has not flowered. It is huge and has many green leaves, but no flowers whatsoever. I used a flowering fertilizer and no results. I have these vines in my hometown Montclair, Ca in the Inland Empire. It has always received plenty of sun and has been watered regularly. Any comments or suggestions to as why it has not flowered? How long will the p. ligularis typically take for it to bloom for the first time?

I am also planning to buy another ligularis vine from a Santa Barbara grower who has a beautiful mother plant. I am also purchasing a p.edulis. My question is, would it be bad if they (ligularis & edulis) cross pollinated each other? My concern is, would the ligularis produce a more sour fruit since it would be next to the edulis?
